1. Academic Experience:

I am Yumin Dai from Zhuozhou, Hebei Province, born in December 1989, studied in the Department of Philosophy of Hebei University from September 2008 to June 2012. From September 2012 to December 2018, I obtained my master's degree and doctorate degree in Chinese philosophy from the Department of Philosophy of Nanjing University. My master's thesis is "Research on the Confucian View of Monks in the Song Dynasty" and the doctoral thesis is "On Jiao Hong and Ming-Qing Confucianism". During my doctoral studies, from August 2017 to August 2018, I was sponsored by the National Scholarship Council to conduct a one-year joint training in the Department of East Asian Studies, University of Arizona. I learned about the frontiers of American sinology research and its methods by virtue of my instructor, professor Albert Welter. Since January 2019, I have served as an assistant researcher in Chinese philosophy at the Department of Philosophy of Nanjing University, and was selected for the Yuxiu Young Scholars Program in October 2020.

Also, those courses that I have taught including: the core course of "History of Chinese Philosophy (Part 2)" for undergraduate students in the Department of Philosophy, the elective course "Selected Readings of Original Chinese Philosophy" for undergraduate students in the Department of Philosophy, and the special course of the new liberal arts in the Department of Philosophy "Modern and Contemporary Interpretation of Traditional Chinese Philosophy", Undergraduate Humanities Quality Course "College Students' Career Planning and Traditional Chinese Culture", Undergraduate Classic Reading Course "Reading the Sishu Zhangju Jizhu", Undergraduate DIY Study Course "Chinese Philosophy and Science & Technology", "Philosophy Dynamics and Commentary" and "Special Topics in Chinese Philosophy" for Master Students in the Department of Philosophy.
