The Department of Philosophy at Nanjing University currently has one undergraduate program, containing three student training programs, Philosophy, Philosophy (Strong Foundation Program), and Philosophy (Top-notch Program), with a four-year academic program. The Department of Philosophy provides systematic courses for undergraduates in the subject areas of General Philosophy, Marxist Philosophy, Chinese Philosophy, Foreign Philosophy, Ethics, Logic, Philosophy of Science and Technology, Religion, and Aesthetics. Meanwhile, the Philosophy Department has implemented different forms and levels of undergraduate research fund projects since 2012, providing students with sufficient training in research ability for their academic growth. The undergraduate graduates of the Department of Philosophy show the characteristics of high rate of advancement and employment. Besides our university, the universities where students have pursued their further studies in Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China and Fudan University in China, and Cambridge University, Johns Hopkins University, Columbia University, University of Edinburgh, University College London, University of Tokyo, etc. The employment directions are mainly civil servants, enterprises and institutions, such as Central and local government agencies, Huawei, Netease, China Mobile, Baidu, etc.
