From April 22nd to 23rd, the Sixth National University Young Teachers Teaching Competition was held in Tsinghua University, and Associate Professor Shao Jiade of our department won the third place of the first prize in the liberal arts group as a representative of Jiangsu Province.

Associate Professor Shao Jiade taught the basic theory, core concepts and daily presentation of Chinese excellent traditional culture, aiming at guiding students to comprehensively understand Chinese excellent traditional culture, grasp the unique connotation and contemporary value of Chinese excellent traditional culture, broaden philosophical thinking ability, improve humanistic quality cultivation, and solidify the foundation of cultural confidence.

In recent years, the Department of Philosophy has attached great importance to the training of young teachers' teaching ability, encouraging them to optimize teaching design, innovate teaching methods and improve teaching level in practice. Adhering to the idea of promoting teaching by competition, the department has held two teaching competitions for teachers, won the excellent organization award of the university teaching competition, and won two first prizes in the national teaching competition for young teachers in colleges and universities and two special prizes in the teaching competition for young teachers in colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province.

The Department of Philosophy will take the opportunity to implement the "Endeavor Action" of Nanjing University, continue to strengthen the teaching ability of teachers, and contribute the wisdom and strength of philosophy to the cultivation of top innovative talents in Nanjing University.
