Zhai Kuifeng is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Philosophy, Nanjing University. His main research areas include Confucian philosophy, the philosophy of the Yijing (Book of Changes), East Asian Confucianism, and the relationships among Confucianism, Buddhism, and Daoism. He is a recipient of the National High-Level Young Talents Program.

He is the author of Measuring Heaven by the Yi: A Study on Huang Daozhou’s Yi Thought (China Social Sciences Press, 2012). He has also produced annotated editions of several classical texts, including The Collected Works of Huang Daozhou (Zhonghua Book Company, 2017), Interpretations of the Yixiang (Zhonghua Book Company, 2011), Three-fold Insights into the Yijing (Zhonghua Book Company, 2014), and Mirror of Moral Cultivation (Peking University Press, 2011), among over ten volumes.

He has published over one hundred articles in core journals such as Philosophical Research, Studies in World Religions, History of Chinese Philosophy, and Studies on the Yijing. More than ten of these articles have been reprinted by Chinese Social Science Digest or by the Renmin University of China’s photocopied periodicals. He has also contributed over ten articles to Guangming Daily and Chinese Social Sciences Today.

Professor Zhai has presided over multiple projects funded by the National Social Science Fund of China and won several provincial social science awards. He holds concurrent positions as a council member of the International Confucian Association, a council member of the Chinese Society for the History of Philosophy, and a standing council member of the Chinese Association of Yijing Studies, among others.
